Cloudbase can lock now without signing you out. Press ⌘L, or let it lock after a while away, and your work waits behind the season's painting until a passkey (your face, your fingerprint or your PIN) or your password opens it. Passkeys sign you in too, with no code to type. The sign-in and Goodnight screens wear the time of year, and a quiet line at the top now tells you before an update and after one. Email replies to your requests arrive with their words again, a new car's name sticks, and a few more things save as you go.
Sign in and open the lock with your face, your fingerprint, or your device's PIN. Add one under Settings › Account › Security, then sign in by picking it from the email field's autofill, or with Sign in with a passkey: no email, no password, and no two-step code, since a passkey already counts as both steps.
Press ⌘L, choose Lock in the menu under your name, or search Lock now, and Cloudbase hides behind the season's painting while you stay signed in. A running timer keeps going, anything still saving finishes behind the lock, and a passkey or your password opens it. Settings › Account › Security can lock it by itself after a while away, and change the shortcut to keys of your own.
Screenshots and header images on Cloudbase's release pages and in What's new now carry a description for anyone using a screen reader.
The sign-in screen (and its two-step code page) and the Goodnight you see when you sign out now carry a painting for the time of year (and, on sign-in and the lock, the time of day: morning, afternoon or evening), a line to match, and a slow drift of snow, leaves, petals or fireflies. It stays still if your device asks for less motion.
A quiet line says when a short update is coming and when it's underway, and anything you type during it saves once it's done. An open page tells you when Cloudbase was updated and waits for you to reload. Settings › Account › Cloudbase updates picks how you hear about new versions: in the app with no email, in the app and an email, or quietly.
When you drag a task on Today, the part it'll drop into lights up and a line marks exactly where it goes.
Like everywhere else, changes save the moment you make them. Your handle saves when you leave the field.
Starting a mode no longer needs Save this mode: it's kept from your first change, like the rest of Settings.
The Your modes link under the mode menu, and any link to a part of a page, now lands on that part instead of the top.
A reply by email was landing on the ticket as "(an empty reply)". It now arrives with what the person wrote.
Typing a new vehicle's name while logging a trip now logs it on that car, not the one already showing in the list. A name you already have uses that car instead of making a second one.
Missing something, or found something off? It reaches me directly.
⟩ Write to AaronThis is the short version of the site, cut down to what reads well on a small screen. The full thing — every instrument explained, the pricing configurator, the whole story — lives on the desktop site. Setting up is best there too. After that, Cloudbase comes with you: on your phone it's Today, a timer, a trip, a quick note and the rest, even offline.
